An engagement photo shoot is a great way to give you a feel for being in front of my camera before your wedding day. This will no doubt make you both feel more confident and relaxed on your wedding day. After all, most people have not had professional photos taken before and it is not uncommon for some people to feel apprehensive. An engagement shoot is the ideal way to ease you in to being in front of the camera.

Like my approach to your wedding day itself I approach engagements shoots in the same easy going way. Rather than get you into poses that feel cheesy or awkward I will just let you be yourselves along with some gently directed poses. The aim here is to capture images of you both being yourselves and enjoying one another.

This also serves to provide you with some lovely images that you may choose to use whilst planning your wedding.

Some couples with little ones ask if they are able to bring their children to an engagement shoot. The answer is YES you absolutely can. Your engagement shoot would in essence become a family shoot which I love doing so please feel free to discuss this if you would prefer to go down this route.

I love meetings couples prior to the big day and engagements shoots are a great way to do this. As well as getting to know each other a little before your wedding you will also get a feel for how I work.

 

Typically the shoot will last between 1 - 2 hours and we will pick a lovely location that is not too far to travel to. If you have a particular place that is special to yourselves then this is ideal. Alternatively we can choose from various scenic woodland locations, beach locations or you may decide you would like something a bit different and opt for a more city/urban location. The main thing is we will choose somewhere that you will be happy with and feel comfortable with. I am always open to new ideas and suggestions. 

 

You will receive approximately 30 images via an online gallery from where you can download, share straight to social media or share with friends & family as you chose. Some couples like to use an image from this shoot to include in a guest signing frame for your guests to sign on your wedding day as an alternate to a guest book. So whether you opt for The Union package, The Essential, or The Main Event package an engagement shoot will be a great addition to your wedding package.
